If your car needs a minor repair to pass its MOT, we can often take care of it at the same time. We can carry out common repairs such as replacing bulbs and wipers, while small adjustments such as headlamp aim and blocked washer jets are often completed free of charge.

Does Your Car Need an MOT?
Cars generally need their first MOT once they are three years old, followed by an MOT every year. You can have your MOT carried out up to 30 days before your current MOT expires and keep the same renewal date for the following year.

What happens if my car fails its MOT?
If your vehicle needs some TLC to pass its MOT, we can carry out many smaller repairs on the same day, helping you get back on the road as quickly as possible.
If a more substantial repair is required, we'll provide a clear quote and agree the work with you before any repairs are carried out.
Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a free MOT re-test if the necessary repairs are completed within the permitted timeframe.
What are the most common MOT failures?
Some of the most common issues we see include:
- Bulbs that aren't working
- Poor or worn wipers
- Tyres that don't meet the required condition

What is Class 4 MOT?
A Class 4 MOT covers cars and light commercial vehicles up to 3,000kg, with up to 9 seats including the driver.
This includes Class 4 campervans.
Can I drive my vehicle if its MOT has expired?
You generally cannot drive a vehicle on a public road without a valid MOT. The main exceptions are when travelling:
- To a pre-arranged MOT test
- To or from a place where the vehicle is being repaired
